Purpose
The purpose of the service mentioned in this terms and conditions sheet, is to provide the ambulance service with access and information, which enables seamless and coordinated medical services to patients.

Roles and Responsibilities

MEDICA Responsibilities:

MEDICA will facilitate the provision of online medical consultations, appointments, and related services to patients.

MEDICA will provide information when ambulance services are required by a MEDICA registered patient, patient’s guardian, medical professional or institute.

Ambulance Service Responsibilities:

The Ambulance Service will provide timely and efficient emergency transportation and medical care to patients as directed by MEDICA or as otherwise necessary.

The Ambulance Service will maintain appropriate licenses, certifications, and insurance to operate in accordance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Coordination and Communication

Patient Information:
MEDICA will provide relevant patient information, including the nature of the emergency, location, and required medical history, to the Ambulance Service to ensure proper patient care.

Availability:
Both parties agree to maintain communication and coordination to ensure ambulance services are available when needed. This includes a 24/7 communication channel.

Updates:
MEDICA will provide required updates to the Ambulance Service regarding the patient's condition and any specific medical instructions.

Billing and Payment

Payment Responsibility:
The responsibility for billing and payment for the ambulance service will be as follows:

MEDICA might charge those who obtain services provided by MEDICA according to the rates specified during signing up including ambulances. These rates could change from time to time.

Fees will be based on the number of bookings made via the MEDICA platform and will be calculated monthly.

An electronically generated invoice will be provided to those who obtain services rendered through MEDICA by the end of each month.

The invoice amount is due for payment within 15 days from the invoice's generation.

Any disputes or queries regarding invoice errors must be communicated in writing to MECICA within seven days from the invoice's generation. If no query is received within this time, the obtainer of the services offered by MEDICA is deemed to have accepted the invoice's accuracy.

If there is a dispute, the obtainers of the services provided by MEDICA should pay the undisputed amount while the dispute is resolved.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations
The ambulance service agree to adhere to all applicable laws and regulations, including those governing patient privacy, data security, medical practice, and any other relevant legislation applicable in accordance to the laws and regulations of Sri Lanka.

Confidentiality
All patient-related information shared between MEDICA and the Ambulance Service shall be kept confidential and used solely for the provision of medical services.

Termination of Agreement
MEDICA reserves the right to terminate the employment of medical attendants for just cause,
including violations of these T&C or any other acts deemed unethical or go against social norms.

Amendments to Agreement
These T&C may be updated by MEDICA at any time, with or without notice.

Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
