Therapist Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("T&C") establish the expectations and responsibilities for therapists providing services through MEDICA. By offering your services through MEDICA, you agree to adhere to these T&C.

  1. Professional Conduct
  2. Therapists shall maintain the highest professional and ethical standards in their practice. This includes compliance with the codes of ethics and conduct established by their relevant professional organizations and the legislations of Sri Lanka.

  3. Confidentiality and Privacy
  4. Therapists must ensure the confidentiality and privacy of their clients. This includes:

    • Safeguarding client records and information.
    • Obtaining informed consent for the collection and storage of client data.
    • Complying with all applicable laws and regulations related to client confidentiality.

  5. Client Care
  6. Therapists are responsible for providing effective and compassionate care to their clients. This includes:

    • Conducting assessments and developing appropriate treatment plans.
    • Delivering therapy services based on established best practices.
    • Regularly reviewing and adjusting treatment plans in response to client progress.

  7. Collaborative Approach
  8. Therapists shall collaborate with clients, their support systems, and other healthcare professionals, as needed, to ensure comprehensive care and the best possible outcomes.

  9. Professional Development
  10. Therapists are expected to engage in ongoing professional development to enhance their skills and stay current with advancements in the field of therapy.

  11. Compliance with Laws and Regulations
  12. Therapists must adhere to all relevant laws and regulations, including licensing requirements and professional standards applicable to their practice.

  13. Reporting of Incidents
  14. Therapists should promptly report any incidents, errors, or safety concerns to the patient, guardian of the patient, any supervisors or any relevant authorities in accordance with the guidelines provided.

  15. Fees and Payment
    • MEDICA might charge those who obtain services provided by MEDICA according to the rates specified during signing up. These rates could change from time to time.
    • Fees will be based on the number of bookings made via the MEDICA platform and will be calculated monthly.
    • An electronically generated invoice will be provided to those who obtain services rendered through MEDICA by the end of each month.
    • The invoice amount is due for payment within 15 days from the invoice's generation.
    • Any disputes or queries regarding invoice errors must be communicated in writing to MECICA within seven days from the invoice's generation. If no query is received within this time, the obtainer of the services offered by MEDICA is deemed to have accepted the invoice's accuracy.
    • If there is a dispute, the obtainers of the services provided by MEDICA should pay the undisputed amount while the dispute is resolved.
  16. Termination of Service
  17. MEDICA reserves the right to terminate the employment of medical attendants for just cause, including violations of these T&C or any other acts deemed unethical or go against social norms.

  18. Amendments to Terms and Conditions
  19. These T&C may be updated by MEDICA at any time, with or without notice.
