Nurse Terms and Conditions

These Terms of Service ("Terms") outline the expectations and obligations for nurses registered to MEDICA. By accepting these terms of service with MEDICA, you agree to abide by these terms.

  1. Professional Conduct
  2. Nurses shall maintain the highest professional and ethical standards. This includes adhering to the codes of ethics and conduct established by the nursing profession and its governing bodies.

  3. Patient Care
  4. Nurses shall provide safe, competent, and compassionate care to all patients. This includes:

    • Administering treatment as ordered by physicians.
    • Monitoring patient conditions and reporting changes.
    • Maintaining patient confidentiality.
    • Ensuring a safe and clean healthcare environment.
  5. Collaboration
  6. Nurses shall work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, and support staff, to provide comprehensive care to patients.

  7. Documentation
  8. Accurate and timely documentation of patient information is crucial. Nurses shall maintain complete and detailed records of patient assessments, care provided, and other relevant data in accordance with policies governing the profession in Sri Lanka.

  9. Continuing Education
  10. Nurses are expected to engage in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in the healthcare field.

  11. Compliance with Laws and Regulations
  12. Nurses must comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including but not limited to nursing practice acts of Sri Lanka and workplace safety guidelines.

  13. Patient Rights and Dignity
  14. Nurses shall respect patients' rights, dignity, and cultural differences. This includes obtaining informed consent for procedures and respecting patients' autonomy.

  15. Reporting of Errors and Incidents
  16. Nurses are required to promptly report any errors, incidents, or safety concerns to their supervisors and participate in quality improvement efforts.

  17. Confidentiality
  18. Nurses shall maintain strict patient confidentiality, refraining from disclosing or discussing patient information with unauthorized individuals.

  19. Fees and Payment:
    • MEDICA might charge those who obtain services provided by MEDICA according to the rates specified during signing up. These rates could change from time to time.
    • Fees will be based on the number of bookings made via the MEDICA platform and will be calculated monthly.
    • An electronically generated invoice will be provided to those who obtain services rendered through MEDICA by the end of each month.
    • The invoice amount is due for payment within 15 days from the invoice's generation.
    • Any disputes or queries regarding invoice errors must be communicated in writing to MEDICA within seven days from the invoice's generation. If no query is received within this time, the obtainer of the services offered by MEDICA is deemed to have accepted the invoice's accuracy.
    • If there is a dispute, the obtainers of the services provided by MEDICA should pay the undisputed amount while the dispute is resolved.
  20. Termination of Employment
  21. MEDICA reserves the right to terminate the employment of medical attendants for just cause, including violations of these T&C or any other acts deemed unethical or go against social norms.

  22. Amendments to Terms and Conditions
  23. These T&C may be updated by MEDICA at any time, with or without notice.
