Medical Laboratory Terms and Conditions

  • Purpose
  • The purpose of this Agreement is to outline operational expectations of Laboratory Services Providers using MEDICA platform to provide comprehensive medical services to patients, as further described herein.

  • Roles and Responsibilities
    1. MEDICA Responsibilities:
      • MEDICA will provide a platform for patients to access online medical services, schedule appointments, and seek medical advice from healthcare professionals.
      • MEDICA will facilitate the ordering of laboratory tests by registered medical professionals for patients and transmitting the test requests to Laboratory Services.
    2. Laboratory Services Responsibilities:
      • Laboratory Services will perform the laboratory tests ordered by registered medical professionals through MEDICA platform, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the tests.
      • Laboratory Services will maintain all necessary licenses and certifications required by relevant authorities to perform medical laboratory services.
  • Coordination and Communication
    1. Patient Information:
      MEDICA will provide Laboratory Services with relevant patient information, including the required tests and any specific patient instructions, to ensure accurate testing and reporting.
    2. Availability:
      Both parties agree to maintain open communication and coordination to ensure prompt and efficient testing services. This includes a 24/7 communication channel.
    3. Reporting:
      Laboratory Services will provide MEDICA with accurate and timely test results, which will be conveyed to the patients through the MEDICA platform.
  • Billing and Payment
    • Payment Responsibility: The responsibility for billing and payment for the ambulance service will be as follows:
      • If the patient is a MEDICA subscriber: MEDICA can bill the patient for the laboratory services and settle the laboratory as per standard payment terms of MEDICA.
      • If the patient is not a MEDICA subscriber: Laboratory Services will bill the patient directly.
    • Billing operations:
      • MEDICA might charge those who obtain services provided by MEDICA according to the rates specified during signing up. These rates could change from time to time.
      • Fees will be based on the number of bookings made via the MEDICA platform and will be calculated monthly.
      • An electronically generated invoice will be provided to those who obtain services rendered through MEDICA by the end of each month.
      • The invoice amount is due for payment within 15 days from the invoice's generation.
      • Any disputes or queries regarding invoice errors must be communicated in writing to MECICA within seven days from the invoice's generation. If no query is received within this time, the obtainer of the services offered by MEDICA is deemed to have accepted the invoice's accuracy.
      • If there is a dispute, the obtainers of the services provided by MEDICA should pay the undisputed amount while the dispute is resolved.
  • Compliance with Laws and Regulations
  • The laboratory service agree to adhere to all applicable laws and regulations, including those governing patient privacy, data security, and medical laboratory services.

  • Confidentiality
  • All patient-related information shared between MEDICA and Laboratory Services shall be kept confidential and used solely for the provision of medical services.

  • Termination of Service
  • MEDICA reserves the right to terminate this agreement for just cause, including violations of these T&C or any other acts deemed unethical or go against social norms.

  • Amendments to Terms and Conditions
  • These T&C may be updated by MEDICA at any time, with or without notice.
